Here’s yet another list from my journal of some summer fun I’ve gotten into... 🌞
1. Painting river stones with my daughter by the water
Lazy afternoons on the river, paintbrush and markers in hand, my daughter by my side. We collect river stones and transform them into our own personal tiny works of art.
She even found an owl feather, which we photographed to remember the moment - check it out below!
2. Summer cherries — bowls and bowls of them
It’s not really summer until the cherries show up in full force. And this year? So many cherries. Tart, sweet, divine! Thank you mama nature.
3. Soaking in the season with my boyfriend
We've had more time together lately. Outdoor moments, evening walks, and cozy nights watching Ozark have made this summer feel fuller.
4. Growing my business — sustainably
This summer I’ve been expanding my business, but gently. No burnout, no overwhelm. Just intentional steps forward — more time-blocking, better focus, and space to stay creative without tipping over the edge. Shiny new projects still tempt me... but I’m learning.
5. Garden-grown basil and fresh flowers
Snipping basil from the garden with my daughter. Nothing like home grown gifts - simple, grounding, and fresh.
6. Homemade sage bundles in the works
There’s something so meditative about gathering, tying, and drying herbs. Homemade sage sticks are coming soon.
7. Speed sparkles — a daily ritual
My daughter’s new favorite thing: face sparkles. Inspired by her babysitter's mountain ski style, we now apply “speed sparkles” every morning — yes, to my face too. It’s officially a thing.
8. Hummingbirds — nectar collectors in motion
About six hummingbirds have been visiting lately, whirring around the house like tiny dancers. One is a brilliant, fiery orange and it's our favorite.
9. Leaning into new art forms
Trying new ways of expressing creativity. I’m not ready to share just yet, but something is stirring. More to come.
10. Family time ❤
The heart of it all. Always.
