Welcome Friends!
I’m excited to introduce a new blog series that I’ll be posting regularly— small, heartfelt lists inspired by everyday moments. These posts will vary depending on the day, with fun themes like “Five Things Friday” or “Seven Things Saturday.”
You might be wondering what are these little lists about?
They're little snapshots from my journal—simple, joyful moments that often never make it to the blog... until now.
I hope these bite-sized reflections brighten your day, spark a smile, or even inspire you to pause and notice the beautiful calm in your own life.
Stay tuned for your weekly dose of inspiration with a little bit of western magic thrown in...
- Painting river rocks in my free time. This has brought me more joy than I can possibly even begin to express. I tend to go into things very all or nothing and this has been a perfect daily dose of meditation - I can easily step away from to work in my studio. It's usually paint on an old river stone that my daughter and I find on our longer walks. I give these stones away to friends and family - some have small reminders, a single word or a carefree design, it's a welcome and grounding activity for my wandering spirit.
- Halloween lights in summertime... orange...purple...on and off...here and there...just because.
- Lighting sparklers with my daughter at the days end. While we don't always make it happen, it goes on well past the 4th and she loves it! She dances around with the sunset sky lit up behind her tracing fire through the air like a true Aries child.
- My new found love...my garden. More to come about this in the next post but how did it take 45 years for this to actually happen?
- Blasting Molly Tuttle's "Crooked Tree" and singing it with my daughter (at 5 years old she knows more of the words than I do) - driving on back dirt roads near our house and singing "I'd rather be a crooked treeeeeee...."
